Italian dairy and livestock market prices remain stable
Market data from the Borsa Merci telematica italiana (Bmti) and various regional exchanges indicate a period of stability for several dairy products in Italy. As of late October 2026, spot prices for national raw milk in Milan and Verona remained steady, despite showing year-on-year declines of approximately 12%. Imported pasteurized milk from Germany and France also maintained stable pricing.
In the cheese sector, Grana Padano prices have seen a slight decline, with various aging categories showing downward trends. Conversely, Parmigiano Reggiano prices remained largely stable or showed growth in certain aging categories at the Milan exchange. Butter, cream, and margarine prices across the Milan, Parma, and Verona exchanges also reported little to no change, maintaining consistent levels with previous weeks.
