Italian dairy sector updates: Lactalis community program and Compral Latte growth

Lactalis Italia has announced a community engagement program at its Milan headquarters, running from September 19 to October 3. The initiative aims to strengthen ties with the local Romolo district through events focused on sustainability, Made in Italy products, and social solidarity. The program includes urban space maintenance in collaboration with Legambiente, discussions on the future of the agro-food sector, community open days, and a charity sports tournament.

In the Piedmont region, Compral Latte highlighted its integrated production model with Inalpi during the 79th Saluzzo Agricultural Machinery Exhibition. Compral Latte, which collects approximately 6,500 quintals of milk daily from 230 farms across the provinces of Cuneo, Turin, Alessandria, and Asti, accounts for over 25% of milk produced in Piedmont. The company, valued at approximately 133 million euros, is focusing on scientific research and quality improvements through its partnership with Inalpi Nutrition to meet evolving consumer and industrial demands.
