Italian dance productions announce new auditions and seasonal openings

The Italian dance and theater scene is preparing for upcoming productions and seasonal openings. Illusion Group has announced auditions in Milan for the 2027/2028 tour of “Romeo & Juliet Orchestra – più forti del destino,” directed by Simone Ranieri. The production is seeking dancers trained in neoclassical and contemporary styles with strong musicality and stage presence.

In Rome, the Teatro Sistina will inaugurate its new season on September 23 with “Shall We Dance!”, a show by Giovanni Pernice. Known for his work on “Ballando con le Stelle,” Pernice will perform a show tracing his career alongside dancers Nikita Perotti, Sophia Berto, and Erica Martinelli. The production features live music and artistic direction by Massimo Romeo Piparo.
