Italian Deputy Defense Minister Matteo Perego pledges new Carabinieri barracks in Pianura, Naples

Deputy Defense Minister Matteo Perego visited the peripheral district of Pianura in Naples and announced a concrete commitment to build a more dignified Carabinieri station for the area. He stressed the importance of a suitable facility for the officers to effectively serve the community and reinforce the presence of the state.

During the visit he also presented a funded project to transform a former drug‑dealing site on Via Torricelli into a new football field, aimed at providing sports and social opportunities for local youth. The ceremony was attended by local officials, Carabinieri commanders and community leaders, all emphasizing the link between security, legal culture and urban regeneration.
