Italian distilleries host grappa tasting events in Vicenza and Piedmont
On October 4, 2026, several Italian regions will host distillery open house events focused on the tradition of grappa production.
In the Vicenza province, the 29th edition of ‘Distillerie Aperte’ will feature four distilleries. These sites will offer guided tours and tastings to showcase the historical art of distillation practiced in the region since the 17th century. Participating distilleries include Brunello di Montegalda, Li. Di. A di Villaga, Schiavo di Costabissara, and Poli di Schiavon. Access requires reservation and involves a fee.
Simultaneously, the Consorzio Tutela Grappa del Piemonte e Grappa di Barolo will organize ‘Piemonte Grappa – Alla Corte dell’Alambicco 2026’. This event opens twelve distilleries across the Piedmont region to the public with free entry. Visitors can tour distillation plants, aging cellars, and pomace storage areas. Participating locations include Beccaris, Bosso, Dellavalle, Francoli, Gualco, Levi Serafino, Magnoberta, Marolo, Mazzetti d’Altavilla, Montanaro, Revel Chion, and Sibona. The event includes free tastings of various labels and special releases.
