Italian environmental organizations announce climate mobilization

A coalition of Italian environmental and social organizations has launched a mobilization effort titled ‘La Terra chiamò’ (The Earth Called). The initiative aims to integrate climate concerns into political decision-making and social choices.

Following an initial public meeting in Rome, the coalition has scheduled a major mobilization for December 5 at Piazza del Popolo. Participating organizations include ASviS, Fondazione Symbola, Future Food Institute, Greenpeace Italia, Kyoto Club, Legambiente, Marevivo, Venice Climate Week, and WWF Italia, among others.

In a related regional event in Gorizia, the ‘Clima in Movimento’ series will host a discussion on energy transitions and climate challenges. The session will feature experts from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Energy Agency and researchers, including a testimony regarding the legal victory of the Swiss KlimaSeniorinnen group against climate inaction.
