Italian facilities plan August maintenance, warn of temporary disruptions

The Biopiattaforma waste‑treatment plant in Sesto San Giovanni will undergo maintenance on 5‑6 August, focusing on the pre‑treatment line and conveyor system. Operators ZeroC and Gruppo CAP warned that the work could cause temporary odour episodes in nearby neighborhoods and said service will fully resume on 7 August.

At the same time, the hospital in Cento will replace an aging automatic glass door at the emergency department on 5‑6 August. The work will block the usual passage, but alternative routes will keep the triage area and outpatient services fully operational, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.
