Italian fashion trade fairs and manufacturing expansion

The September 2026 edition of MICAM Milano and MIPEL, major trade fairs for footwear, leather goods, and fashion accessories, concluded at Fiera Milano Rho. The MICAM event demonstrated strong international reach, hosting 758 brands from 29 different countries, including 378 Italian companies.

Lorenzo Totò, president of Confartigianato Calzature, emphasized that trade fairs remain a strategic tool for fashion enterprises to present new collections, gather market intelligence, and maintain international relationships. The event also coincided with Milano Fashion & Jewels and Lineapelle, providing a comprehensive view of the entire supply chain.

In a related development within the sector, CIM Italy launched its Autumn/Winter 27/28 collection at Lineapelle, focusing on the intersection of decorative tradition and technological innovation. CEO Stefano Innocenti announced the expansion of the company's laboratories in Cernusco Lombardone, adding 600 square meters to increase Italian manufacturing capacity for major brands. The company is also prioritizing sustainability by focusing on brass recycling processes.
