Italian fencers head to the 2026 European Championships in Antony, France

The president of Frascati Scherma, Paolo Molinari, praised the four Italian athletes selected for the European Championships in Antony, France, saying they "can do well" and expressing optimism about their performances. The squad includes foil fencers Arianna Errigo, Guillaume Bianchi and Tommaso Marini, and sabre fencer Manuela Spica, with veteran coach Fabio Galli on the technical staff.

The competition, which runs through multiple days, features individual foil and sabre events. Italian women’s foil fencers Martina Batini, Martina Favaretto, Arianna Errigo and Anna Cristino are slated to compete, while the men’s sabre team includes Cosimo Bertini, Michele Gallo, Matteo Neri and Pietro Torre. Matches are broadcast live on Rai Sport and streamed via Rai Play, Discovery+, HBO Max, DAZN and other platforms.
