Italian Fencing Federation partners with Bambino Gesù Hospital

The Italian Fencing Federation (FIS) has signed a formal agreement with the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital to integrate fencing into the hospital's activities. The protocol was officially presented at the CONI Hall of Honor in Rome.

During the event, the FIS also held a ceremony to recognize student-athletes through its “Incentivazione allo Studio” (Study Incentive) project for 2025. FIS President Luigi Mazzone emphasized the federation's commitment to social responsibility and inclusivity, noting that the leadership's medical background reinforces the importance of balancing academic pursuits with professional sports careers.
