Italian film festivals highlight new talent and restored classics
At the Alta Marea Festival in Termoli, the debut short film "Chi ten i colp" by director Antonio Nolè won the Best Film prize from both the official jury and the audience, while Andrea Arcangeli received Best Director and Andrea Palma took Best Actor.
The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia played a key role at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, presenting a 4‑K digital restoration of Tinto Brass's 1967 thriller "Col cuore in gola" as the pre‑opening film and debuting a restored version of Ettore Scola's "Brutti, sporchi e cattivi" in the Venezia Classici competition.
