Italian Film Festivals Unveil 2026 Editions in Partinico and Pordenone

The fifth edition of the PM Film Festival will take place on 16‑17 May 2026 at the Teatro Gianì in Partinico, Sicily. Organized by PM Management Group Production/Film Production SRLs and directed by Piero Melissano, the two‑day event will feature screenings, discussions and a jury chaired by Alessandro Caiuli, with guests such as Gaetano Aronica, Simona Cavallari and Bruno Torrisi.

The 45th Giornate del Cinema Muto will run from 3‑10 October 2026 at the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone, Friuli‑Venezia Giulia. Under the direction of critic Jay Weissberg, the festival opens with the restored silent film *Don X* (1925) and presents a retrospective titled “Weimar without censorship,” curated by scholars Tony Kaese and Michael Cowan. Live musical accompaniment will be provided by the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.
