Italian films 'Quasi Vera' and 'Zustissia' slated for October release

Two new Italian movies will reach cinemas in October. Fausto Brizzi’s comedy‑drama “Quasi Vera”, distributed by Medusa Film, follows aspiring actor Diego who creates a virtual influencer named Vera using artificial intelligence, exploring the clash between digital personas and real identity.

The second film, “Zustissia”, directed by Francesco Piras, recounts the 1991 triple murder in South Sardinia that led to the wrongful conviction of Beniamino Zuncheddu. After 33 years of unjust imprisonment, lawyer Mauro Trogu and a pro‑bono legal team secured Zuncheddu’s acquittal in January 2024. The movie, based on the book “Io sono innocente”, highlights the prolonged fight for justice.
