Italian financial firms report strong first-half 2026 profits
Several Italian financial entities reported strong growth in their first-half 2026 results.
Banca Popolare del Lazio announced a consolidated net profit of 9.7 million euros, representing a 26.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The group reported loans exceeding 2 billion euros, a CET1 ratio of 21%, and a net NPE ratio of 2%. The bank noted that these results align with its 2026-2028 Strategic Plan despite international geopolitical uncertainties.
Clessidra Factoring, a financial operator specializing in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, reported a 45% increase in net profit, reaching 4.4 million euros. The company's turnover rose by 34% year-on-year to 748 million euros. Additionally, its loans increased by 19% to 326 million euros, while the net NPE ratio decreased to 1.78% from 1.94% in 2025.
