Italian fishing competitions highlight youth inclusion and rising female carpfishing pair

On June 7, the Lago delle Coste hosted a youth‑focused fishing competition organized by the Contrada Sovrana dell’Istrice and Lenza Senese Merse Sport. Participants praised the event for its inclusive atmosphere, emphasizing that “there are no barriers” and celebrating the communal experience of catching fish.

In a separate Italian carpfishing championship, the female duo Laura Gherardi and Martina Mantovani of the Carp Lab Team improved their standing, moving up to fourth place after a strong performance at the Pietrafitta reservoir. Their progress forms part of the national Feeder Method series, which also featured dominant performances by teams from Pistoia and other regions.
