Gerry Cardinale pledges Milan investment and support for Amorim
AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has reaffirmed his full confidence in head coach Ruben Amorim, despite recent setbacks including a 4-2 home defeat to Bologna. Cardinale emphasized his commitment to the manager, stating he will not repeat past mistakes by frequently changing coaches. He described Amorim as a leader with the right culture for the club, aiming to implement a high-intensity tactical style known as “Amorim-ball.”
To support this vision, Cardinale announced plans for aggressive and opportunistic activity during the January transfer window. The primary goal is to strengthen the squad depth and the bench to allow for necessary player rotations during intense domestic and European schedules. He noted that the current rebuilding process is only about a quarter of the way complete.
Additionally, Cardinale discussed the club’s long-term infrastructure, highlighting the Generali Stadium project as a major statement of intent to return Milan to the top of European football. He expressed a desire to improve the Serie A product to better compete with the economic profile of the Premier League.
