Italian football clubs Catanzaro and Ternana win friendly matches
Italian football clubs Catanzaro and Ternana participated in mid-week friendly matches to test squad depth and tactical formations.
Catanzaro secured a 6-1 victory against Serie D side Vibonese in a closed-door training session at Giovino. Coach Gorgone utilized an alternative lineup to evaluate secondary players ahead of the Serie B season restart. Notable performances included goals from Frosinini and Di Francesco, as well as a quick brace from the young player Reita. The match allowed the technical staff to assess player fitness and expand tactical options.
Ternana defeated Campitello 4-1 during the ninth Mario Cicioni memorial. Coach Andrea Lisuzzo experimented with a 3-5-2 formation, testing new arrivals like Ndongue and utilizing players in unfamiliar roles. Liurni scored twice for Ternana, with additional goals from Curzi and Pettinari. The event also included the inauguration of a new grass pitch at the via Italo Ferri facility and the presentation of the Mario Cicioni scholarship to Alessandro Diomedi.
