Sambenedettese appoints Filippo D’Alesio as new head coach

Sambenedettese has appointed Filippo D’Alesio as its new head coach following the dismissal of Roberto Boscaglia and assistant Samuele Costanzo. The decision comes after a difficult start to the season, with the team sitting at the bottom of the standings with only two points from seven matches and no victories. D’Alesio, who previously managed the club in late 2025, is returning to lead the team starting with a match against Grosseto on October 3.

In other Italian football news, Valerio Antonini, owner of Trapani, has expressed interest in acquiring Sambenedettese. Antonini clarified that while he is in the process of acquiring a Serie C club, his focus for Trapani will shift toward a strong youth sector and potentially moving the team to a different location.

Additionally, Riviera Basket Rimini has secured a sponsorship deal with Dole Italia for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Reggina is preparing for a demanding week featuring three matches, including a Coppa Italia fixture against Nuova Igea. Giana Erminio has also introduced Mario Tacchinardi as their new manager.
