Italian football clubs expand youth development programs

Italian football clubs are emphasizing youth development through new strategic projects and professional affiliations.

Brendola Calcio has launched a structured growth project for its youth sector, aiming to transition players from early stages to the Juniores and First Team levels. A key component of this initiative is a new affiliation with Atalanta, which will provide technical methodologies and training opportunities for both players and staff. The project also includes educational support, such as scholarships to reward athletic and personal values.

Similarly, the Giove Academy, affiliated with Udinese Calcio, is positioning itself as a center of excellence for youth football for the 2026/2027 season. The academy utilizes specialized facilities, including tactical video rooms and multiple training pitches, to support the technical, athletic, and human development of young athletes through professional methodologies provided by its partnership with Udinese.
