Italian football clubs highlight youth sector developments

Italian football clubs are highlighting their youth development programs. Cagliari Calcio held a presentation at Unipol Domus for its 2026-2027 youth sector, featuring over 250 athletes across ten teams ranging from basic activities to the Under 20 level. CEO Stefano Melis noted that eight players currently in the first-team squad originated from the club's youth sector.

Similarly, Polisportiva Garino is reporting significant growth, particularly in women's football. The club has seen an increase in registrations, with players traveling from central Turin to join. The club also hosts the Europe Garino Cup, an international event for 12-year-old female players.
