Sassuolo faces performance challenges in Serie A

Sassuolo is experiencing a difficult period in the current Serie A season, currently sitting in 14th place after a recent stretch of three losses and one draw in their last four matches. The club has earned only eight points through the first eight games, a start that has only been worse on three previous occasions in the club's history.

Following a 2-6 defeat against Lazio, players expressed mixed sentiments. Simone Cinquegrano emphasized the team's competitive mindset, stating they prepare every match with the intent to win. Defender Floriani noted the importance of scoring his first goal to repay the support of traveling fans, despite the heavy loss.

While the club's recent form has fallen below summer expectations, management and players maintain that the primary objective remains securing league survival.
