Italian football clubs shift pre‑season camps amid renovations and cost cuts

Serie C club Arezzo is reassessing its 2025 summer training camp after the Storo facility in Trentino announced a renovation of the adjoining building, raising concerns about locker‑room availability during the retreat. While Storo remains a preferred option, the club is also exploring alternative venues and expects a final decision within the week.

Meanwhile, Serie B side Spezia announced plans to move its pre‑season camp to Pontremoli to reduce expenses following last season’s relegation. The club is eyeing the Lunezia Sports Centre, which was renovated eight years ago, though it may need to coordinate with local rivals Carrarese. Spezia could also consider using its own Follo facilities if the required upgrades are completed in time. Both clubs are awaiting final approvals before confirming their training locations.
