Italian football: Mantova and Genoa face upcoming challenges

In Italian football news, Mantova sporting director Fabio Brutti discussed the team's strong start to the season and the challenges ahead. Brutti noted that the recent break allowed for injury recovery and emphasized the team's intensive training under coach Modesto. He highlighted upcoming difficult matches against promotion favorites such as Palermo, Cremonese, and Verona, as well as a challenging away fixture against Catanzaro.

Separately, former Genoa goalkeeper Simone Braglia commented on Genoa's difficult start to the season. Braglia argued that the club's current struggles are primarily due to a decline in squad quality following key departures and inadequate replacements, rather than the coaching of Daniele De Rossi. He suggested that while the manager bears some responsibility, the core issue lies with the club's roster management and the loss of their home-field advantage at the Ferraris stadium.
