Südtirol and Ascoli draw 0-0 in Serie B clash
Südtirol and Ascoli played to a 0-0 draw in a Serie B match held at the Stadio Druso in Bolzano. The game, marking the return of the league following a three-week international break, was characterized by tactical balance and limited scoring opportunities.
Südtirol, managed by Davide Possanzini, entered the match in second place with an unbeaten record. Ascoli, led by Francesco Tomei, occupied sixth place. Despite several attempts from both sides, including a notable save by Ascoli goalkeeper Vitale and a late effort by Chakir that was stopped by Südtirol's Plizzari, neither team could break the deadlock.
Ahead of the match, Tomei emphasized the need for humility and focus, noting that Südtirol had become a much more proactive and difficult opponent under Possanzini. The draw leaves Südtirol maintaining its strong position in the standings, while Ascoli continues its competitive start to the season.
