Italian football updates: Bari prospect and Fiorentina midfield needs

In Bari, Vincenzo Davide Colangiuli is emerging as a potential solution for the team's midfield. The 2005-born player has shown promise in recent matches, notably against Scafatese, where his ability to provide unpredictability and personality stood out. Previously utilized by Iachini in Serie B, Colangiuli has returned to Bari after a stint at Lumezzane and is being viewed as a versatile asset capable of playing as a central midfielder or mezzala.

Fiorentina is seeking a turnaround in form as they face upcoming challenges. While the young squad has shown increased passion in recent performances against Como, Inter, and Atalanta, the team remains in a concerning league position. There is a growing expectation for sporting director Paratici to strengthen the midfield during the January transfer window by acquiring a substantial player capable of contributing effectively in both offensive and defensive phases.
