Italian Gastronomy Promotion Boosted by New Alliance and Grottaglie Festival

On 13 July, the Association Italiana Ambasciatori del Gusto and the Fondazione Costruiamo il Futuro ETS signed a Protocol of Understanding. The agreement, signed by Maurizio Lupi, Cesare Battisti and Gianluca De Cristofaro, aims to use Italian cuisine as a driver of cultural, social and economic development, fostering collaborations between businesses, institutions and local communities.

Separately, the town of Grottaglie will host the twelfth edition of “Orecchiette nelle ‘nchiosce’” on 4‑5 August 2026. The event will feature twelve chefs presenting thirteen creative orecchiette dishes – ranging from sea‑flavored varieties to innovative fusions such as orecchiette with mousse of goat cheese and licorice powder – alongside music, workshops and itinerant performances, highlighting the region’s culinary heritage.
