Italian generals visit Carabinieri units in Ladispoli and Sicily

General Aldo Iacobelli, Interregional Commander “Podgora”, visited the Carabinieri station in Ladispoli. During the meeting he highlighted the force’s role in maintaining close relations with citizens, stressing the importance of support, comfort and a cohesive internal spirit among the troops.

General Luciano Portolano, Chief of the Defence Staff, concluded a four‑day tour of Sicily, meeting officials in Agrigento, Palermo, Trapani, Messina, Augusta and Porto Empedocle. He discussed cooperation with local institutions, the Carabinieri’s contribution to security, maritime rescue operations, and the ties between the armed forces and veteran associations.
