Italian geology conferences set for September 2026 in Perugia and Rome
The Associazione Italiana del Georadar, together with the University of Perugia's Department of Physics and Geology and other academic partners, will host a course on impulsive and step‑frequency GPR technologies in urban settings on 18 September 2026. The event takes place in Aula F of the Palazzo delle Scienze, Perugia, and requires a registration fee of €100 (including VAT). Participants receive a certificate of attendance and can earn seven continuing‑education credits for geologists.
The Società Italiana di Geologia Ambientale (SIGEA‑APS) is organising a study day titled “Knowledge and protection of karst environments in Italy” for 11 September 2026, from 09:00 to 14:00 at the Palazzetto Mattei, Villa Celimontana, Rome. The day, held in honour of the UNESCO International Day of Caves and Karst, gathers geologists, speleologists, researchers and institutional representatives. It is sponsored by ISPRA, the National Council of Geologists, the Italian Geological Society and other bodies, and offers professional training credits.
