Italian Government Approves Tax Credits for Agricultural Diesel and Fertiliser

The Italian Government is set to issue an inter‑ministerial MASAF‑MEF decree that will define the procedures for a tax‑credit scheme aimed at reducing the cost of agricultural diesel (gasolio) and fertiliser. The measure provides up to €90 million in credit for diesel purchases, with a credit of up to 20 % of eligible spending (capped at €50,000) and a deadline for applications no later than 30 September 2026. A further €40 million is earmarked for fertiliser purchases made in March, April and May, with a credit of up to 30 % of the expense.

Coldrietti Marche welcomed the measures, noting that the fund will also include a €70 million FEAMPA ex 5.68 allocation to support the fishing and aquaculture sector in the region. The association stressed that the credit‑on‑diesel and the solidarity fund for fishing will help offset the higher operational costs caused by recent international tensions and rising fuel prices.
