Italian government stability debated on La7’s In Onda program

Journalist Daniela Preziosi appeared on La7’s political interview show *In Onda* and argued that the longevity of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government should not be equated with stability, warning that the current electoral law was destabilising the coalition.

In a later segment, European Parliament Vice‑President Pina Picierno clashed with Preziosi over the EU’s 150‑billion‑euro defence financing instrument known as the SAFE fund. Preziosi highlighted the Italian government’s reservation of €14.9 billion for the programme and debated the positions of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, party leader Matteo Salvini and opposition leader Elly Schlein, while questioning the broader European defence strategy.
