Italian grassroots football clubs launch youth initiatives in Poggiardo and Ponteaegola

The Usd Città di Poggiardo football club organized an Open Day for its Under‑19 junior team on 21 July at the Nino De Santis sports field in Poggiardo. Prospective players born in 2008‑09 were invited to showcase their talents and undergo medical checks, with the event serving as the first step of a broader plan to rebuild the club’s youth sector under new first‑team coach Fabrizio Tanisi.

A new soccer association, ASD Ponteaegola, will be formally presented on 20 July in San Miniato. The launch dinner is expected to draw strong local interest as the board emphasises a long‑term, community‑focused project aimed at uniting residents around a shared sporting identity and providing a lasting home for local football.
