Italian Guardia di Finanza cracks down on illegal labor in Ladispoli and Brescia
In Ladispoli, a Guardia di Finanza inspection uncovered seven workers at a take‑away food outlet, with two fully undeclared and five paid only in cash. The probe revealed failures to keep the mandatory employment register, unpaid tax and social‑security contributions and resulted in administrative fines exceeding €23,000.
In the province of Brescia, the same agency’s summer‑season checks identified 66 workers employed “in nero” and 28 irregularly hired across 94 positions. Sixteen businesses faced suspension requests and potential penalties of up to €360,000 for breaching labour and fiscal rules. Both operations were part of a broader effort to combat undeclared work in Italy’s hospitality and tourism sectors.
