Italian gymnasts secure multiple medals at European and World championships

Italian gymnasts achieved significant success in international competitions. At the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics European Championships, Elisa Iorio won the silver medal on the uneven bars. Despite recovering from her third injury, Iorio delivered a high-difficulty routine, finishing behind Germany's Helen Kevric. Additionally, 16-year-old Giulia Perotti secured a bronze medal on the uneven bars, marking her first major senior medal.

In rhythmic gymnastics, Sofia Raffaeli earned a silver medal with the hoop at the 2026 World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany. Raffaeli scored 30.500, following her previous bronze in the individual all-around. The gold medal was awarded to Ukraine's Taisiia Onofriichuk with a score of 30.700, while Germany's Darja Varfolomeev took the bronze with 30.400.
