Italian handball clubs begin EHF European Cup campaigns

Italian handball clubs Raimond Sassari and Proger Cassano Magnago are set to begin their EHF European Cup campaigns this weekend.

Raimond Sassari, currently leading the Serie A Gold, will face Kosovan side Kastrioti in the second round of the competition. Both matches in this double-header will be held at the PalaSantoru in Sassari. The aggregate score over 120 minutes will determine which team advances to the next stage.

Meanwhile, Proger Cassano Magnago will travel to Switzerland to face BSV Bern in the first leg of their second-round matchup. The men's team has postponed a domestic league fixture against Junior Fasano to focus on this continental debut, which follows their previous national championship title.
