Italian hippodromes host seasonal racing and awards

Italian hippodromes are hosting significant seasonal events. At the Ippodromo Snai Sesana in Montecatini Terme, the 111th trot season will conclude on Monday, October 12, 2026. The final meeting features eight races, including the Premio Mauro Gazzarrini, an invitation handicap for older horses. Following the races, the 2026 Equestrian Operators Awards will honor outstanding owners, trainers, drivers, and horses.

Meanwhile, the Ippodromo Snai San Siro is hosting its 50th seasonal gallop meeting. The event includes several high-profile races, such as the Group 3 Premio Del Piazzale ‘Memorial Felice Villa’ and the Class 1 Super Handicap ‘Carlo Porta’. In addition to the racing, the venue is hosting the ‘Kiddo’ project, which offers creative workshops and reading activities for children, including pony riding experiences.
