Italian hospitality sector sees tech growth and portfolio expansion
The Italian hospitality sector is seeing increased integration of specialized technology and expanded managed portfolios. Slope, a small-to-medium enterprise based in Gualdo Tadino, has developed a cloud-based management software specifically tailored for the Italian market. The platform, which serves approximately 1,400 structures including hotels, B&Bs, spas, and restaurants, integrates tools for PMS, booking engines, channel management, CRM, and invoicing. The company focuses on local digital processes that generalist foreign software often fails to address.
Simultaneously, the European hospitality platform Numa is expanding its footprint in Italy by adding five new properties across Rome, Milan, and Florence. In Rome, the company has taken over management of two existing buildings in the historic center. In Milan, Numa has renovated a property within a historic building containing remains of an ancient Benedictine monastery. In Florence, the expansion includes the complete redevelopment of an ex-hotel and the conversion of a Liberty-style villa into a digital hospitality offering.
