In Viterbo, the Santa Rosa Hospital inaugurated a new neuronavigator for maxillofacial surgery, a €80 million system that overlays pre‑operative imaging on the patient’s anatomy, improving precision in complex head‑and‑neck procedures.

The Santa Maria delle Croci hospital in Ravenna added a next‑generation ultrasound, a FibroScan and a specialised manometer, funded by local foundations and private donations, to enhance gastroenterology diagnostics and avoid invasive biopsies. Meanwhile, the Irccs Crob centre in Rionero di Vulture placed an Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator in its radiotherapy unit, raising the capability for ultra‑personalised stereotactic treatments and incorporating advanced image‑guided techniques and a HexaPOD robotic couch.

These upgrades aim to improve patient outcomes, reduce procedural risks and shorten recovery times across multiple medical specialties.
