Italian hospitals Magenta and Borgomanero record surge in births within 24 hours

The Ospedale Giuseppe Fornaroli in Magenta reported nine newborns in a 24‑hour period on 21 July, including three boys and six girls, with eight deliveries vaginally and one by Caesarean section. The day followed an urgent laparoscopic surgery for an ovarian torsion at 34 weeks that successfully preserved the pregnancy, according to director Giorgio Formenti.

At the Santissima Trinità Hospital in Borgomanero, twelve babies – nine boys and three girls – were born between 16:00 30 July and 16:00 31 July. The hospital noted a year‑over‑year increase in total deliveries and highlighted the appointment of Alberto Arnulfo as director of the Maternal‑Infant Department. Regional health officials and hospital leaders praised the result as evidence of high‑quality obstetric and neonatal care.

Both facilities emphasized the dedication of obstetricians, midwives, nurses and support staff in handling the intense workload and ensuring safe outcomes for mothers and newborns.
