Italian ice hockey clubs prepare for upcoming season

Italian ice hockey clubs are preparing for the upcoming season through team presentations and preseason matches. HC Meran officially introduced its new squad and jerseys at a ceremony in Dorf Tirol. President Stefan Kobler noted that the team features a young roster with the potential to surprise competitors this year.

Meanwhile, HCB Südtirol Alperia is continuing its preseason preparations under head coach Antti Karhula. Following a training camp in Corvara, the team is scheduled to play a test match against Hockey Club Asiago in Trento. This matchup marks the first meeting between the two sides since Asiago transitioned to the AlpsHL. Asiago, the former Italian champion, enters the new season with a reinforced squad aiming for titles across multiple competitions.
