Italian ice hockey teams see mixed results in ICE League

In the ICE Hockey League, Italian teams saw mixed results during the first phase of the 2026-2027 season. Val Pusteria secured a 4-2 victory against Slovenia’s HK Olimpija, while Bolzano Hockey achieved a dominant 4-0 win over Klagenfurt.

In contrast, HC Milano suffered a heavy 7-2 defeat against Villach. Despite this loss, Milano has moved to strengthen its roster by signing 34-year-old national player Diego Kostner. Kostner, who spent his entire career in Switzerland with Ambri-Piotta, joins the Milanese club to bolster their project following their strong start to the season.
