Cerignola Book Fair hosts discussions on labor rights and culture
The XVII edition of the Cerignola Book Fair is hosting a diverse program of cultural and social discussions. Key sessions include a historical analysis of 'caporalato' (labor exploitation) featuring historian Giovanni Ferrarese and activist Jean René Bilongo, who discussed the roots and modern manifestations of labor exploitation. Other featured speakers include satirist Federico Palmaroli (Osho), journalist Marino Bartoletti, and author Paolo Saggese, who addressed the relationship between education and the Southern Italian region.
In Lecco, Confindustria Lecco e Sondrio organized a dialogue between young people and businesses to address the gap in professional skills and foster better integration between schools and the production system. Additionally, the Rotary Club Lecco is supporting youth through the Gavioli Prize, a film competition for students at the Istituto Bertacchi.
Other regional activities include a youth football development meeting at the Brianteo stadium in Monza, an apprenticeship orientation program at I.I.S. Carlo Gemmellaro, and a discussion in Castronno regarding the challenges of caregiving and non-self-sufficiency for families.
