Italy initiatives address gender violence and female empowerment

Various regional and national initiatives across Italy are focusing on combating gender-based violence and promoting female empowerment through interdisciplinary training, legal awareness, and community networking.

In Puglia, the regional presidency and the Order of Psychologists are conducting training modules to help professionals recognize and respond to male violence against women, focusing on the Istanbul Convention and the 'Codice Rosso' legislation. Similarly, the AGNET network in Val Pusteria held meetings to strengthen coordination between social services, law enforcement, and local institutions to improve support systems for victims.

Other efforts include a conference in Anguillara Sabazia focused on the psychological dynamics of manipulation and control in relationships, and a national launch of the 'Parete di Genere' initiative in Forlì, which combines community talks with a nationwide sporting event to promote equality. Additionally, in Turin, Fidapa BPW Italy is hosting discussions on the role of women in leadership, sustainability, and overcoming gender inequalities.
