Italian institutions launch new academic and vocational training partnerships

Various Italian institutions are launching initiatives to bridge the gap between education and the labor market through research, training, and dual apprenticeship models.

In Chieti, the Università degli Studi ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ has signed a two-year framework agreement with Confartigianato Imprese Chieti and Academy ForMe. The partnership aims to promote research, technological transfer, and economic development. Key objectives include joint participation in national and European calls, industrial doctorates, research scholarships, and the creation of innovative startups and spin-offs. The agreement also focuses on professional training through internships, master's programs, and career orientation to support youth employment.

In Cesena, a dual apprenticeship program has commenced involving Gi Group, Officina Soma, and EN. A. I. P. Cesena. The initiative targets students in their fourth year of vocational training to prepare them for roles as maintenance technicians. Through first-level apprenticeship contracts, students can earn a salary and social security contributions while completing their professional diplomas, combining classroom learning with hands-on experience alongside industry professionals.
