Italian journalists receive honors for diversity and career achievements

Several prominent figures in Italian journalism were honored at recent industry ceremonies. Pasquale Quaranta, Diversity Editor for La Stampa, received the 2026 Diversity Media Award for Best Web Print Article in Rome. His winning piece focused on the history of Gianni Reinetti and Franco Perrello, the first couple to enter a civil union in Turin.

In Milan, Vittorio Feltri, Editorial Director of Il Giornale, was presented with a Special Career Award at the 9th Icch Young Communicators Awards. During the ceremony, Feltri defended the relevance of print media, stating that people still rely on newspapers for perceived truth and that print publications will continue to exist despite the digital revolution.
