Sulmona prosecutors investigate two women for false testimony

The Sulmona Prosecutor's Office has placed two women, approximately 80 years old, under investigation for false testimony regarding a sexual abuse case involving a 9-year-old girl.

The two women, who are relatives of a 45-year-old man already sentenced on appeal to four years in prison for sexual violence, reportedly provided statements claiming they had received death threats. However, surveillance camera footage has contradicted these claims, leading to the investigation into their testimony.

The legal proceedings also involve the victim's father, who had physically assaulted the convicted man with a stick during the incident.
