Italian legal community mourns two prominent criminal lawyers

The Italian legal community is mourning the loss of two prominent criminal defense lawyers.

In Siracusa, Angelo De Melio has passed away at the age of 78 following a long illness. A well-known figure in the local judicial circles, De Melio dedicated much of his career to criminal law. His funeral was held at the Pantheon church, attended by family, friends, and numerous colleagues from the Syracuse Bar.

In Modena, Riccardo Pelliciardi has died at the age of 84. A pillar of criminal law in the Modena province, Pelliciardi was a founding member of the Modena Criminal Bar Association in 1998. Colleagues have remembered him for his professional ethics, competence, and mentorship, noting his significant influence on the local legal community.
