Italian libraries host cultural events in Lucca and Viterbo

The Croce Verde library in Lucca will host the returning "Vitamine di carta" reading group on Friday, 26 June at 18:00. Participants will discuss Fausta Cialente’s novel *Le quattro ragazze Wieselberger*, a work that examines late‑19th‑century Trieste society. The event is free and requires registration by contacting the library.

On Friday, 24 July at 21:00, the Biblioteca Consorziale di Viterbo will present architect Mario Cucinella in a session titled “Empatia Creativa”. Cucinella will address the relationship between architecture, sustainability and quality of life, showcasing projects from his studio MCA. The evening will also launch the manifesto “Una Biblioteca per il XXI secolo”, outlining challenges for public libraries in the digital and climate‑crisis era.
