Italian literary festivals feature Tullio Avoledo and Capalbio authors in August

On Thursday, 6 August, the Lignano literary series hosted author Tullio Avoledo at the PalaPineta. He presented his new novel *Ultimo valzer di una ragazza perbene* and discussed the work with Alberto Garlini, while attendees sampled Bortoluzzi Wines’ Ribolla gialla.

The second evening of the Capalbio Libri festival took place on 2 August at the Teatro del Leccio. Stefano Cappellini, director of *Repubblica*, introduced his book *Rossobruni* and debated the state of democracy, referencing the Russia‑Ukraine conflict and the political climate in Italy. The program also included Leonardo Colombati presenting his novel *Non vi sarà più notte* and a preview of a forthcoming discussion with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte scheduled for 4 August.

Both events highlighted contemporary Italian literature, featuring author talks, book launches and broader cultural commentary.
