Italian local officials visit schools for new academic year

Local officials in Italy marked the start of the new school year with visits to educational institutions in Parma and Verucchio.

In Parma, Mayor Michele Guerra and Councilor for Educational Services Caterina Bonetti visited the Sanvitale Primary School and Forma Futuro. They were joined at Forma Futuro by Vincenzo Colla, Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The officials emphasized the city's commitment to education as a priority for community building.

In Verucchio, Mayor Lara Gobbi visited all local schools to welcome students and staff for the 2026/27 academic year. The municipality reported a total of 778 students across nursery, primary, and lower secondary levels. The administration highlighted ongoing infrastructure investments, including painting, waterproofing, and facility upgrades in Villa Verucchio, totaling significant local expenditures.
