Italian luxury hospitality sees new boutique hotel in Ortigia and Staiano Group rebrand in Capri

A newly restored 19th‑century palace on Ortigia island in Sicily will open as the 21‑room boutique Hotel Egeo in summer 2026. The project, led by founders Hanawa, Ronane Prune, and Merlin, follows a three‑year renovation that blends historic architecture with contemporary design.

Meanwhile, Capri‑based Staiano Group, a long‑standing operator of high‑end tourism services, launched an extensive rebranding effort with Hangar Design Group. The initiative revamps the company’s visual identity, adds a fully re‑imagined digital platform, and aims to position the brand as sustainable and innovative while preserving its heritage of luxury hospitality.
